A Concerned Elder in Wa has expressed concern over the rate at which jobless youth without stable Income rush Into marriage.

During a community engagement which was captured in a video and shared on social media, the concerned elder revealed that several youth are given temporary sources of income including using leased tricycles as collateral to go into Marriage, a system he labeled as risky and could collapse marriages if owners to those leased tricycles demand for them in future.

“I have given you my tricycle for you to work and pay daily, you have seen that as a guarantee to get married, who assured you that I gave the tricycle out to you permanently?, what if I take it back, what will you rely on to take care of the family?, so I’ll urge people to for tricycles of others to earn a living not to go Into to marriages depending of tricycles of others, they can only do that if that tricycle they are using is theirs”.

Several youth of Wa are Into transporting people in tricycles to earn a living, some pay as much at Ghc 100 to the owner of the tricycle as daily marking and keeps the balance or extra monies as theirs.
