OPENING STATEMENT
We would like to extend our warm regards to organizers of home radio inter community Gala and We have call on you as organizers of the competition to address the serious controversy surrounding the final match of the Home Radio 99.7FM Community Gala between Sokpariyiri and Kabanye, and the decision to award victory to Kabanye without the match being played.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISPUTE
The highly anticipated final between Sokpariyiri and Kabanye was scheduled but never kicked off.
Kabanye raised an informal objection before kick-off, claiming that the Sokpariyiri team fielded “unqualified players” — individuals who were not originally in the Sokpariyiri community squad list, in violation of the gala’s rules.
No verification process was completed, no hearing was held, and the match was not played.
The organizers — Home Radio 99.7FM — subsequently concealed the circumstances of the no-show and declared Kabanye winners by default.
Sokpariyiri strongly rejects this decision, deeming it unfair, procedurally flawed, and a violation of the spirit of the competition.

KEY GRIEVANCES & POSITION
SOKPARIYIRI STANCE
Unsubstantiated Allegations: The claim of “unqualified players” was never proven, investigated, or verified by any neutral committee before the decision was announced. No list of accused players or evidence was shared with our team.
Due Process Denied: We were not given notice, a chance to respond, or an opportunity to prove the eligibility of our players. The decision was made unilaterally and in secret.
Match Should Have Been Played or Properly Rescheduled: A final match in a community gala should be decided on the field, not by an off-the-field ruling without evidence. If there were concerns, a proper eligibility check should have been conducted first.
Lack of Transparency: The organizers failed to communicate clearly that the match was abandoned due to a dispute; instead, the outcome was presented as a victory without context — misleading the public and our supporters.
The Decision Is Null and Void: We do not accept the declaration of Kabanye as winners. It was reached unfairly, without following laid-down procedures, and undermines the integrity of the entire competition.
WHAT WE ARE DEMANDING FROM HOME RADIO 99.7FM
Full public explanation of the basis for the “Unqualified player” claim and the evidence relied upon.
Immediate reversal of the decision awarding Kabanye victory.
Reinstatement of the final match, to be played at a neutral venue with proper eligibility verification before kick-off.
A transparent, independent arbitration process to handle any future disputes in the competition.
A public apology to the Sokpariyiri team, supporters, and the broader community for the unfair handling of the final.

CLOSING REMARKS
This competition was meant to unite communities, showcase talent, and foster peace between Sokpariyiri and Kabanye. Instead, a lack of transparency and due process has created division and deep disappointment.
We call on Home Radio 99.7FM — as a respected community broadcaster — to act with integrity, correct this injustice, and allow the people of both communities to decide the winner through fair play on the football pitch.
We also appeal to the leadership and people of Kabanye to support a fair resolution, because a victory won through procedural shortcuts brings no true honour.
We are open to dialogue, but we will not accept an unjust outcome. The people deserve a proper final — let the game be played! Thank you.
