The residents of the Pulbaa in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District have decried the challenges women at the community go through to deliver at the facility due to the lack of delivery beds at the health facility in the community.
They said there is only one delivery bed at the facility and that when two women visit the facility to deliver, one has to be delivered on the floor, which has been a worry to them.
In an interview with Info Radio in the community, Pognaa Konwie Mary, the Queen of the community, She applauds the government for proving the community with CHPS compound as they used to trek far to access health service in another community in the district, but also appealed for beds and other things that would make the facility function well.
She also said the CHPS is lacking essential drugs which force them to trek between 6 to 9 kilometers to Fain or Bussei to buy drug as drugs are not sold at the Pulbaa community.
Madam Paul Albertina a resident noted that a patient have to lie on the floor for treatment, which she said, it can also lead to sickness.
She therefore called on authority to come to their aid to provide the facility with drugs and bed to facilitate smooth health delivery in the community.
