A Former DCE Under the NDC Administration, Mr. Robert Bakah Wavei has passed on in Tumu within the Sissala East Municipality. He passed on 12th November 2022 and his body was sent to a morgue in Jirapa Municipality for preservation. He was 68 years of age.

He switched from the NDC to the New Patriotic Party in September 2020 after he was Suspended on 5th of April 2020 from the NDC. He switched to NPP on September 9th 2020 and said his decision came after former President Mahama opted to scrap teachers and Nursing Training Allowances.

According to a letter signed by Mr. Guguo Ali, the Secretary by then, he indicated that the late Former DCE had gone contrary to article 46, clause II of the Party’s constitution which enjoins a member to defend an conform to decisions of the party at all times.

Mr Wavei Campaigned for Former MP for Sissala West, Mr. Patrick Adams of the New Patriotic Party in 2016.

Mr. Wavei was Appointed as DCE when Sissala West and East were together as Sissala District in 1992, he served as DCE for three different terms.

He was DCE in Former President Rawlings Administration and Late Former President Mills Administration as Sissala West District Chief Executive.

He will be buried on the 14th January 2023 at Silbelle in the Sissala West District. Thanksgiving will be on Sunday, 15th of January 2023.
