The Chief and people of Bonaa, a community in the Wa East District are appealing to the Wa East District Assembly and the central government to come to their aid by helping them complete a community-initiated road construction project.
The said road project is between Bonaa and Manwe. The ten-kilometer road has been under construction through the initiative of the community for the past few days. Speaking to Info Radio in the community, the Assembly Member for Bonaa Electoral Area honorable Fatahu Mwengu said, that stretch of the road is a key road that needs urgent rehabilitation to boost economic activities.
According to the Bonaa Assembly member, the community decided to take a bold step to help themselves , hence the decision to start rehabilitating the road by members of the community after several appeals by members of the community to central government failed to yield positive results.
The assembly member revealed that the community has reached its wit end is thus appealing for support from the Wa East District Assembly to complete the construction of the road.
The Chief of Bonaa Alhaji Kadiri Seidu Salia lll speaking to Info Radio also appealed to government and other philanthropist to help them complete the project.
