Some women in Duose in the Guo Electoral Are, Wa West District have expressed worry over the lack of electricity in the community.

They said the lack of electricity in the community is negatively affecting their economic and social lives.

The women who spoke in an interview with Info Radio at the community said they have to trek to other communities to charge their mobile phones which is a discomfort to them.

The women also indicated that their children are unable to learn at night due to the lack of electricity in the community.

Meanwhile, the Assembly Member of the area, Mr Osman Adams, told Info Radio that the lack of electricity in the Duose community has been a source of worry for him.

He said he had included the community in a list of communities earmarked by the District Assembly to be connected to the national grid but that lack of funds at the assembly delayed the connection.

According to him, the lack of electricity in the community has also affected the learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the school.
