Tamale Station in Wa: Drivers Exploiting passengers.

Information reaching upperwestmedia.net has it that drivers in the Tamale station of Wa have increased fares from Ghc25.00 to Ghc27.00 which passengers are complaining of. According to the passengers drivers assure them before they join the car to take them across the bridge when they get there to take a different bus to Tamale at no extra cost but leave them at Yapei.
Enquiring to know why, the drivers have alleged that fuel hikes is one of the cause of it though wasn’t approved by GPRTU.
Some passengers admitted to us that it was inconvenient. Okada Riders have to take them across the bridge.
Passengers were told to insist on the agreement made before boarding the bus, insist drivers take you across when you arrive at Yapei.
The distance from Wa to Tamale is 302km but for now drivers travel to Yapei Estimated at 278km meaning drivers cover less distance than before which should rather see a reduction in prices.
