Snake Bite Cases Declining in Sissala East – Mid Year Report

Issues of Snake Bites have declined by 31℅ Sissala East Municipality according to the Ghana Health Service. The issue of Snake bites used to be rampant a few years back but statistics show the rate has reduced.
220 cases of snake bites were recorded in 2016,
209 in 2017 and as at midyear 2018, 61 cases had been recorded.
Measures have been put in place to make available venom in all the health facilities in the Municipality according health officials.
Farmers have been advised to wear safety boots and also use snake repellents to avoid snake bits.
