The pictures you are seeing depicts the flooded nature of Tangasia Market in the Nadowli/Kaleo District, Upper West Region after today’s downpour on 29th June, 2019.
This is always the narration whenever it rains cats and dogs. The water runs from the main road outside into the market because the road gutters are not constructed.
This predicament causes a lot of unbearable afflictions and torments on both buyers and sellers in market. After the water runs out, the whole market becomes very muddy and slippery causing countless accidents here and there.
The heavy downpour this morning between the hours 9-11am left the market in a very horrendous state, destructing today’s market.
Tangasia market is one of the biggest markets in the
Nadowli Kaleo District. Many call it the hub of revenue generation of the district. Many of the people especially market women and some opinion leaders feel sad to see their market in that state.
