Dr. Bin Salih At the New Regional Hospital

A Statement issued by the Upper West Regional Minister assuring of no new cases has been contradicted by new statistics released by the Ghana Health Service.

The Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih on the 8th of April 2020 Confirmed there were no new cases recorded as contact tracing of persons suspected proved negative.

Six additional cases including a previously confirmed case summing up to seven has left the region in panic as many perceived the issue was well contained.

Several people have questioned the source of the extra records, demanding a district breakdown in order to take personal safety measures.

Reports reaching Upperwestmedia Team proved there is an expatriate suspected to be resident of Baa-ilii Jaga of Sukpayiri who has gone into hiding after attempts to quarantine him. Several attempts to get the victim from his hideout at Baa-ilii Jaga in sukpayiri has proved futile.
