Wa East: NPP Parliamentary Candidate Cuts Sod for the Construction of Seven Boreholes

The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Wa East Constituency, Hon. Salifu Yakubu has earlier this morning cut sod for construction of seven (7) boreholes in the Wa East District.

The Parliamentary Candidate, Hon. Salifu Yakubu in a brief interaction explained that the boreholes are to be sited at some selected major market centres in the district. The PC’s gesture is part of the president’s initiative to fight against Covid-19.

The sod cutting ceremony was done in Loggu at the Loggu Market to kick start the drilling of the boreholes in the various market centres.

The PC disclosed that the following major markets are earmarked for the boreholes to be drilled as; Loggu Market, Bulenga Market, Kundugu Market, Funsi Market, Kulkpong Market , Kpaglahi Market and Kpalworgu.

In a brief remarks, Hon. Salifu Yakubu advised the community members to continue to adhere to the WHO’s safety protocols to ensure the fight against Covid-19. He called on the community members to cooperate with the contractor for efficient execution of the projects.
He also used the opportunity to thank President Nana Akufo Addo for the kind gesture and pledge to lobby for more as Oliver twist, “We will always ask for more”.

The Parliamentary Candidate was accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Moses Jotie, the NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Saeed Samsideen, the constituency Secretary , Mr. Basuglo Yussif, the Constituency Research and Elections Officer Mr Abdulai Yahaya and a host of party supporters.
