Joy News Exposed over wrong projections

Joy News, a Multimedia station in Ghana has been spotted projecting wrong figures about a Constituency in Upper West Region.

According to the Multimedia channel which projected a win for the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate, it posted that NDC had 56.7% for the Parliamentary whilst NPP had 41.3 which doesn’t sum up to 100% but 98%, on the side of the Presidential elections, the New Patriotic Party had 45.6% whilst the National Democratic Congress had 50%. This sums up to 95.6%.

Meanwhile per the actual figures from the Returning officer for Nandom Constituency, Mr. Elvis Kokaa,

Nandom Constituency

Ambrose Dery(NPP)- 15, 234 votes 48%

Dr. Richard Kuuire(NDC) – 11, 110 votes 35.3%
