
Joy News Exposed over wrong projections
Joy News, a Multimedia station in Ghana has been spotted projecting wrong figures about a Constituency in Upper West Region.
According to the Multimedia channel which projected a win for the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate, it posted that NDC had 56.7% for the Parliamentary whilst NPP had 41.3 which doesn’t sum up to 100% but 98%, on the side of the Presidential elections, the New Patriotic Party had 45.6% whilst the National Democratic Congress had 50%. This sums up to 95.6%.
Meanwhile per the actual figures from the Returning officer for Nandom Constituency, Mr. Elvis Kokaa,

Dr. Richard Kuuire(NDC) – 11, 110 votes 35.3%

The Results clearly shows that John Mahama Won the Presidential Elections in Nandom and Ambrose Dery of the NPP won the Parliamentary elections, Totally different from what is projected by the Media House. The NPP Won the Parliamentary elections and not the NDC in Nandom.
