U/W:Wa MCE hailed after Awarding Market Pavilions for Construction

Market women in the Wa Central market have shown appreciation to the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Issahaku Tahiru Moomin for awarding two set of market pavilions for construction.

The pavilions if constructed will save over 1, 000 businesses for the market women whose daily activities were slowed and sometimes stalled due to congested.

The construction of the pavilion became necessary after the market women requested the Wa municipal assembly to provide them with pavilions to protect them from the mercy of the sun and rain.

The site which was handed over to the contractor by the Wa Municipal Assembly will see the construction of two pavilions in a bid to rearrange the the Wa Central market.

According to the Coordinating Director of the Wa Municipal Assembly, Mr. Amadu Haruna Zuree who represented the MCE Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, the construction of the market pavilions will help make the Wa market orderly arranged and make business transaction as easy as any other market in the country.

He added that the vision of the MCE is to see a first class market in the Wa Municipality hence the reason for the provision of such a facility in the Market.

He used the opportunity to thank the market women for their understanding during the construction of the first pavilion which is currently in use.

He assured the business fraternity over the readiness of the MCE in providing their needs in order to enhance the cost of doing business.

The director was quick to urge the market queens to honor their tax obligations which he said will enable the Assembly undertake more developmental projects.
