REFLECT ON A TIME WHEN YOU QUESTIONED OR CHALLENGED A BELIEF OR IDEA
WHAT PROMPTED YOUR THINKING? WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME.
Human beings generally are referred to God our maker and the belief that God Exist. I actually questioned this statement when I was young. Generally saying most people can bear the fact that whatever that exist could be seen. But the order of the day was God almighty exist even going on different tangent enlightening that there will be a day of judgement of which people or Human beings will be subjected before the said God for accountability of whatever that transpires in this world, which indeed was hilarious to the writer. The suggesting of punishing people on judgement day when court services, police services, prison services and above all the supreme judiciary system is there to assist or make that instant judgement other than resorting to unrealistic belief of God existence was quite intriguing to the writer. Culprits who go against the law are already made to face the law and suffer the penalty for such encounter.
WHAT PROMPTED MY THINKING
The so-called God could be in existence if there was no poverty. If God really exist why on earth will the writer makes it difficult to acquire some basic demands, why will it be difficult for some people to hardly get a common three square meals a day. Why will it be difficult for people to fail simple exams set by a tutor in the same class. Why people do not die according to their ages but randomly. Is that the farce or the vogue today? Such questions intrigued me for such thinking. I equally asked my father if God exist why I am not in America? Why are we not having a car to drive? Why are we located in the hinterlands?
WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME
I actually moved with my father’s position when he took time to explained to the best of my understanding that God Almighty indeed exist. He elaborated that my son you don’t need to see something before admitting its existence. He took his time and answered me with the African style of answering questions by asking questions. Furthermore, he said did I believe tomorrow will come, and I nodded suggesting yes, he said that is the reason why I should have the absolute belief that God really exist. He said again as a religious person that whatever God does not want is equally not good for the Human Being. Said God kick against prostitution, if one defies odds and indulge themselves in it reliable leads the person to failure and I quickly remind myself of a brilliant colleague who felt nervously his examination because of prostitution. Enlightened again that prostitution makes one loses his monetary value incurred themselves in disease like HIV/AIDS which might lead to the person not reaching the suggestive life expectancy rate. He kicked against fighting which in real life brings down productivity and development in oneself and country to the lowest magnitude. He said why did I believe in the Judges of this world when they can take bribes not more later and Anas Arimiyaw Anas exposed them and I thought it wise then. When the judges can rule a case in favour of their family, friends and love ones. God knows and created us different that is exactly why even your own finger nails are not the same. He exists that makes an orphan to become productive and bread winner in society. He exists that make it possible for people in disadvantage sections of places toil to make it in life and I quickly remembered Dr. Hamidatu Dramani. The CEO of Spicy foodies and Dean for the School of Engineering, Wa Technical University. A renowned business, Technocrat, generous but influential personality in Upper West Region the youth ginger to emulate at all cost in respective societies. Not more later than Mr. John Dramani Mahama became Ghana’s president, Dr. Mahamud Bawumia Veep and that of Barack Obama of the United State of America.
With these thoughts, I was convinced beyond reasoning that God really exist and had to conform with what my father elaborated.
