Residents of Nakore in the Wa Municipality of Upper West Region have come out in their numbers to Mount huge speed ramps on their roads to limit road users from excessive speeding.
The speed ramps composed mainly of sand are 6 in number, 4 at the entrance of the community and 2 in the heart of the community.
According to residents who explained reason why they mounted the illegal road speed limiters, they explained that their animals are usually killed by speeding motorbikes or cars using the road on daily basis.
It can be recalled that the former Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Suleman who doubled as Lawmaker for Sissala West, expressed displeasure with the number of speed ramps in the municipality, he stated that they could generate spinal problems for road users.
The Nakore road had a facelift after the Wa central MCE, Issahaku Tahiru Moomin awarded it for construction, the road links Wa Municipality and Wa West District.
