Hajia Humu Awudu, the 2020 parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa Central Constituency, together with some two members of her team, were both manhandled by some macho men believed to be NPP thugs.

The two varied incidents occurred at different places within the constituency during a visit to some centers to monitor the ongoing elections of polling station executives.

Information gathered has it that the recent hooliganism among members of the NPP in the constituency, leading to the assault and manhandling of Hajia Humu and her team is alleged to be orchestrated by the NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Ali Abdul-Karim K. Kamara.
