The Member of Parliament for Wa Central and Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, Hon. Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has presented a set of essential medical equipment to three community health facilities within his constituency as part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery.

The donated items include an LED microscope machine, a water bath machine, a six-bucket centrifuge, a 20-litre hot air oven, a glass measuring cylinder, a micro pipette (10–100μl), a staining rack, a slide box, a tally counter, a pH meter, a hemoglobin meter, and four bariatric clinical beds. These tools are expected to enhance diagnostic accuracy, improve laboratory services, and boost overall patient care in the beneficiary facilities.

Speaking at a short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Wa Mechanical Field Unit (MFU), Dr. Pelpuo urged managers of the receiving institutions to put the equipment to effective use to meet the healthcare needs of rural communities. He emphasized that improved health infrastructure remained a key priority in his constituency development agenda.

The Municipal Director of Ghana Health Services Dr. Alex Bapula, together with Assembly Members from the three electoral areas, expressed profound appreciation to the MP for his continued support. They lauded his numerous contributions to the health sector, including the construction of a modern office complex equipped with a cold room for storing sensitive medications.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Dr. Pelpuo commended the Municipal Director of Health for his commitment and leadership over the past years, reaffirming his dedication to promoting quality healthcare delivery across the Wa Central Municipality.
