Several Residents of Nyimbali,a Community in the Samatigu Electoral Area of Nadowli-Kaleo District have expressed concern after a Bridge Project expected to be completed this Year was abandoned by the Contractor known as Mr Ransford Boateng Acheampong.

During an Engagement with community members at Samatigu by Upper West Media Team’s Reporter by Name Kpeli Joshua, a Resident by name Danyagri Angaaye Michael was worried indicating that if the bridge project isn’t completed, several farmers will have difficulty transporting food item from their community to Some Major Markets in the District and Regional Capital.

He stated that previously without the bridge they could easily crossover from Nyimbali Kori to Nyimbali Paani but with the current state of the Bridge they find it difficult to cross, he also revealed that there was an assurance that a different contractor was expected to spill gravel over the bridge but that Contractor is yet to avail himself.

“..We were told a different contractor is coming to spread gravel over the bridge but we are yet to see that contractor, Previously the old state was better, we could easily Crossover from Nyimbali Kori to Nyimbali Paani, They should work on the bridge..”

Donneyong Musah, a Resident also appealed for the contractor to return to site for works to continue.
