An Aspiring Upper West Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriot Party (NPP), Mr Suleman Yahaya Popularly known as Fuma has Expressed concern over some drawbacks that have made his Party unattractive to a teaming Youth in the Upper West Region.

In an Engagement with Upper West Media Team on 6th of June 2026, he issued a statement indicating that some loopholes needed to be fixed with the right leadership, giving instances where jobs should be created in both public and private sectors to empower the youth.

Statement

We will need to look at the engagement of people towards the party, what really the party isn’t doing right that is causing disaffection.
There are alot of youth that once belong to the party but now as you we all know, many of them don’t even want to hear the name of the party. That boils down to the kind of leadership style and the marginalization that associates with it.

Solution.

We are going to engage them, organise programs that appeals to their conscience. Talk to key people that they listen to, give them the sense of belongingness.

Creating committees that welcomes them on board.
Create an opportunity with the wider community not necessarily the party people to get them some meaningful job opportunities(private sectors) people I know.

There are a lot of people the party gave employment, we shall work with them to show commitment and contribute to the working of the youth wing to enhance party mobilization and unity.

We shall decentralize the appointment of the youth working committee, taking the bold steps to give appointments to other guys from the other constituencies to give them an opportunity to belong.

We shall task and resource every constituency youth organizer to mobilize, educate and champion the ideologies of the Npp to first time voters in their respective communities.

With the approval of the party executive committee we shall make a proposal to the National to make available to the party the available job opportunities in their respective companies to cater for the employment of party guys.
