The people of kaleo in the nadowli-kaleo district have observed Zumbenti Festival as a mark of their identity and cultural heritage.
The traditional occasion took place on Saturday, 4th July 2026 behind the area council of Kaleo.

Paramount chief of the area, Naa Yeliminhi Biengu II Called for unity and investment in the community.
“let’s settle our differences devoid of social media and the streets, encourage the youth to stay in schools and support the youth to focus on skills, protect water resources and health facilities”.
He stated that the kaleo community is targeting to have good roads, water and accessible healthcare as part of their goals in this year, 2026.
Naa Biengu II called on indigenes abroad and out of the region to direct their focus towards their roots in order to develop the area.
“I call on indigenes to come home or support brilliant but needy children, build schools and support businesses and skills development, no community develops in isolation”. He said.
He urged Kalebe is diaspora to ensure their children are familiar with their culture and it’s values.
“I urge Kalebe is diaspora to teach their children our culture and language devoid of Modernization”.
Several donations were made to the occasion including, a cheque of Ghc50,000 and 100 solar streetlights worth Ghc100,000 from the Volta River Authority(VRA) through miss Rhoda Arthur, A Pledge of Ghc10,000 from Lawyer Kale Caesar, CEO Of Metro Mass Transit LTD, Donation of Ghc10,000 by Dr. Ahunu Akuamo Kwao II, The Kyedom Hene/Divisional Chief of Bosom, Danyuo Kura Naa and Colleagues Supported with Ghc1,000, Mossi Naba donated an undisclosed amount of money, Dabo Royals Also donated Ghc1,300.
The program was concluded with traditional dances, a poetry recitation by Guonaa Francis, a story by Damui Naa of Manwe Traditional Area and a closing prayer by Sunkye Naa who was chairperson of the Occasion.
