The secretary to overlord of Wa Naa, Jimpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim has on 2^nd July 2026 distanced the palace from a suspected criminal practice of phone snatching in Wa close to heaven sent supermarket on Wednsday, 1^ST July 2026 by Zaid Issahaku, a purported bodyguard to Overlord of Wa.

According to reliable information forwarded to the Police on Thurday, 2^nd July 2026, Zaid Issahaku snatched a Tecno Spark 10 Pro Smartphone and some amount of monies placed in the phone’s cover from a journalist[Name withheld for security reasons]. The money according to the source is Ghc1,000(200 notes) and $300(Dollar 100 Notes) kept in the back cover of the phone.

The Suspect by Name Zaid Issahaku Mobilized some Hoodlums to snatch the phone and money valued over Ghc4,000 after allegation that the journalist gave a platform to a police MTTD officer, Chief Inspector Akoogo to Criticize Wa Naa for having a hand in appealing for crime suspects to be granted bail, a concern affecting the work of police.

Organizer of the program, Mr. Maxwell Maakuu premeditated and executed  the program on 26^th June 2026 at Wa Metropolitan Assembly Hall which gave several security sectors including NACOC, POLICE, ROAD SAFETY, DVLA etc and other Institutions like FDA, GPRTU the opportunity to speak and address concerns of road safety drawbacks in Upper West Region in line with Cambuu Riders Summit.
