The Wa Municipal Health Directorate joined the rest of the country in observing the National Clean-Up Exercise today, Friday 10th July 2026, organized in response to the recent flooding in Accra and as part of national efforts to improve environmental sanitation and prevent flood-related public health risks.

As part of the exercise, staff of the Directorate led by the MDHS,Dr.Alex Bapula cleaned the surroundings of the Municipal Health Directorate and its immediate environment while promoting proper waste management and environmental hygiene. It also urged residents of the municipality to sustain good sanitation practices beyond the clean-up exercise, emphasizing that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility and a vital measure in preventing disease outbreaks and safeguarding public health.

The Wa Municipal Health Directorate remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental sanitation and protect the health and well-being of the people of the municipality.
