Work is yet to Commence on The Tumu-Han-Lawra Road located in the Upper West Region.

The Contract was awarded to be tarred by Greenhouse Int. Development Gh. Ltd as part of the (30-45km) Big Push Road Project (Lawra-Han-Tumu Road) premeditated to Commence on the 11th of December 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama.

On 19th – July – 2026, Upper West Media Team took a tour from Lawra through Zambo to Domwini to Kani where several community members spoke about the Deplorable nature of the road, some said it’s nature is affecting businesses and their health.

All community members were worried expressing frustration over the delays and the absence of a contractor on the road to give it the necessary attention it needed.

The 30-45km road is expect to cost government Ghc173,233,182.94 and is being supervised by Ghana Highway Authority per checks on the website of ministry of Roads and Highways.
