The National Democratic Congress in a letter dated 14th – August – 2026 has released a goodwill Message to their main Competitor, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of their Regional Executive Elections.

The message was signed and released by The NDC’s Upper West Regional Director of Elections, Mr Ismael Dibkuu.

GOODWILL MESSAGE TO UPPER WEST NPP

On behalf of the Upper West Regional Directorate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), 1 extend warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the leadership, delegates, and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region as you prepare to hold your Regional Delegates Conference and elections on Saturday, 15th August 2026.

As political parties, we may differ in our ideologies, policies, and approaches to governance, but we remain partners in the democratic development of our beloved Upper West Region and Ghana as a whole.

I wish all aspirants the very best as they present themselves for the confidence of your delegates. May the elections be peaceful, transparent, and conducted in the true spirit of democratic competition.

On behalf of the Upper West NDC’s regional elections directorate and the regional executive committee, I pray that the outcome will strengthen the NPP to be a very credible opposition party that will help in the developmental progress of our region.

May the Upper West Region continue to be a shining example of political tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and democratic maturity.
