A 29-Year old Cyclist from Jirapa has decided to ride his bicycle from Wa Back to Jirapa (61km) after Arriving at Wa Airport Today, 16th August 2026.

His flight trip was funded by Angwelle Foundation after he used a bicycle for 6-Days on the Wa-Sawla-Wenchi Road through to Kumasi and finally to Accra.

The reason for his travel was to campaign for the Wa-Sawla-Wenchi Road to be Fixed Early after it was awarded in November 2025 by President John Mahama to Several Contractors including Messrs Maripoma ltd.

His travel is also for a fight against Drug abuse amongst the youth.

A Taskforce was established by Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing in May 2025 to combat Drug Abuse in Upper West Region but the Taskforce is yet to release a comprehensive report on steps being taken so far.

Mr. Tiekan was Accompanied on his way from Wa to Jirapa by some enthused youth including Popular comedy group known as Fukotiasie Comedy and DJ Galaxy of Kanyiri Radio.

During his Arrival in Accra on the 9th of August 2026, He was granted several media interviews on platforms including TV3, Joy Prime Sporty FM etc.
