The Former Upper West Regional Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Nancy Ayuo Dery Has released a statement after losing her position to Minata Mumuni who served as Deputy Women’s Organizer.

Elections were held at Wa Technical Institute on 15th of August 2026 and after the elections Madam Nancy Polled 116 Votes losing to Minata Mumuni who Polled 139 Votes.

From the very beginning of my tenure as the Upper West Regional Women’s Organizer, God was by my side, and He remained faithful to the very end.

First and foremost, I offer my deepest gratitude to God Almighty for how far He has brought me. My heart is filled with sincere thanks to our National Council of Elders representative for the Upper West Region, our party patrons, our esteemed Elders, my revered constituency executives, TESCON Presidents, and every dedicated party member and sympathizer. I have poured my heart and soul into serving our party to the best of my ability. Though I sought continuity, I humbly accept that God has His own perfect plan for me.

I extend my warmest congratulations to my sister, Minat Moomin, and wish her every success in her new role. To Team White, congratulations and my very best wishes. To Team Alaska, I wish you all well as well.

The NPP is our shared home, leaders will come and go, but the party endures forever. Being in opposition is not our priority, reclaiming power is our top priority, and we must stand united to achieve it.

To my cherished family, thank you for the unwavering support and encouragement that sustained me throughout this journey. And to Team Nancy, you have shown me pure-unconditional love. I assure you from the bottom of my heart, this is not the end of our journey. Brighter days lie ahead, and God’s perfect will shall prevail.
