Incumbent NDC Upper West Regional Chairman, Abdul Nasir Saani, popularly known as Chairman Bunas, has expressed his desire to retain his position and continue his journey as Regional Chairman.

Chairman Bunas made this disclosure on Saturday, August 22, 2026, when he addressed participants at the Regional Youth Wing and TEIN Retreat.

He called for the full support of party members as he seeks a third term in office.

Mr. Saani, however, emphasized that he remains open to competition, noting that anyone who wishes to contest the position has his full support.

According to him, the NDC is a democratic party and every member has the right to exercise their democratic choice and participate in the political process.

Chairman Bunas also urged party members to patient with the government, stating that not all of them can benefit at the same time. He believes every party member will be served in due course.
