The Palace of Wa Naa through it’s Secretary, Jimpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim has expressed disappointment with the Presidency of Ghana Led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and NDC Leadership for not honoring invitations to the Festival after series of invitations.

The concerns were laid before the media and stakeholders on Friday, 28th of August 2026 During Day 4 of the Celebration.

“Upper West NDC have always disrespected Wa Naa of not honoring his invitations to Dumba celebration for two years in a row” Jimpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim Stated.

The Palace expressed Dissatisfaction with Upper West Regional Minister constantly representing the president indicating that the Presence of the President was needed during Dumba Festivities. Naa Kadri also expressed doubt if their invitation letters actually gets to the President.

“I believe the invitation letter from Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV did not get to the office of the President”.

Meanwhile, MTN Ghana has Donated Ghc20,000 Ghana Cedis to the Wa Naa’s Palace to support the Occasion.

Dumba is celebrated to mark the culture and traditional heritage of The Waala Kingdom in the Upper West Region.
