A Business Mogul and Philanthropist from the Limanyiri, a Suburb of Wa Metropolis in the Upper West Region has supported the Upper West Regional Chief Imam’s Educational Endowment Fund with a Donation of One hundred and Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis as part of Efforts to educate brilliant but needy students in the Upper West Region and Beyond.

The Amount was in both Cash and Pledge made on the 29th of August 2026 at the Upper West Regional Library.

“I’m giving out Twenty thousand Ghana Cedis in Cash but I’ll make hundred thousand Ghana Cedis available later to support the program”.

He gave out Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis in an envelope to the Organizers of the Program whilst he pledged to add Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis after the Program.

The Upper West Regional Minister, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing Donated Six thousand Ghana Cedis, The Mayor of Wa, Alhaji Danwana Donated Four thousand Ghana Cedis, Antika Company Limited Donated Five Thousand Ghana Cedis, Alhaji Adams Iddrisu Thirdman(Headmaster of Wa SHS) Donated One Thousand Ghana Cedis, Abdul Rahaman Zakaria also Known as Marcus, the Deputy Director of CTVET Donated Three Thousand Ghana Cedis, Lawyer Ubeidu Sidique a Renowned lawyer Donated One Thousand Ghana Cedis, The Member of Parliament for Wa Central Pledged Twenty thousand Cedis.

Several other Donations were received with a total Financial Record as Follows:

Cash and Cheque – 108,217 Ghana Cedis
Pledge – 128,000 Ghana Cedis
Total – 236,217 Ghana Cedis

This is the fund’s fourth Edition since it was established in the Year 2022 to support brilliant but needy student.
