Several Reports of Serial Killings have been reported in the Upper West Region since the year 2020. This has created some levels of inconvenience resulting in increased police visibility in the Wa and Nearby Districts During the year 2024.

On March 4, 2026, the Wa High Court sentenced Sherif Abdulai Saani, also known as “God of War” or “Cristos,” to life imprisonment with hard labor for multiple murders., The prime suspect was arreigned before Wa High Court and hand life sentence over his role in the Incessant serial Killings, after the Court’s Judgement there are similar issues popping up. Recent is a lifeless body found along the Bamahu Road, close to Dellagio Junction.

These are recent instances of suspected Murder Cases in parts of Upper West Region.
