Growing fear and anxiety have gripped Queen of Peace Senior High School in Nadowli as a rapid spread of suspected chickenpox coincides with the ongoing end-of-semester examinations.

The Senior House Master raised the alarm after several boarding students reported severe skin rashes, fluid-filled blisters, and high fevers. Images from the school show students with visible, painful lesions spread across their faces and bodies, raising serious health concerns among the student body and staff.

The timing of the outbreak has created a tense atmosphere on campus. With students currently writing critical end-of-semester papers, many fear being infected in crowded examination halls. At the same time, sick students face the distressing choice between risking their health and academic future by attending exams, or missing their papers to isolate.

To contain the situation, health experts and parents are calling on the Nadowli-Kaleo District Health Directorate and school authorities to intervene immediately. Recommended actions include establishing separate, isolated examination rooms for affected students, conducting daily health screenings at exam hall entrances, and providing proper medical treatment to prevent further transmission across the campus.
