As the Next Academic Year Begins, several Headmasters of Schools in Wa have taken Steps to ensure the required students are promoted into Forms including form One, Two and Three.

With focus on crossing from Primary to Junior High School, Some Students Preparing to Get enrolled into Form One in some schools had challenges spelling words including Chair, Table, Yellow, Science, Classroom etc.

Others were tasked to read Some Passages, Sentences but were faced with challenges in reading, some students hoping to be enrolled into Form One had challenges pronouncing some words like “Address”, “course”, “mind”, “communicative”, “Paragraph” etc

Some parents insisted the students should be enrolled into upper classes despite the challenges, other parents appealed for special assistance for their wards whilst some parents blamed teaching services their children had at the primary school level.

Some Teachers at the primary level who spoke on request for anonymity blamed ineffective teaching on the lack of teaching and learning resources at the Primary school level and overcrowding in some classes, they also blamed lack of support from parents adding that some parents give preferential treatment to wards in private schools by providing them the necessary books and transportation whilst insisting those in public schools should manage and also walk long distance to school which triggers fatigue and lack of concentration of the student.
