The 2026 edition of the Upper West Junior Mathematics and Science Quiz (JMSQ) has ended with two young learners emerging as champions in the Primary and Junior High School divisions.
The Program begun in July and Ended on the 2nd of October 2026.
Seyram Holyfield Amenyitor of Bervely Hills Academy emerged winner of the Junior High School Division, after an impressive display of knowledge, confidence, speed and critical thinking.
In the Primary Division, Dari Jason Angaamwine of Ancilla Catholic Basic School emerged champion, distinguishing himself among some of the region’s promising young learners.
Other outstanding finalists who placed as first and second runners-up across the two divisions were Tabiasi Naa Winston, Rhema Alexander Nuertey, Dery Mwintrifu Myriam and Bagonluri Lioba Mwinebang.
The Upper West Junior Mathematics and Science Quiz is an initiative of Kids Discovery Channel (KDC) aimed at promoting interest in Mathematics and Science, while helping young learners develop confidence, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The organisers are calling on media houses, organisations, individuals and other stakeholders to support the initiative as they work to expand the programme and provide more opportunities for young learners across the region.
