An Incumbent Constituency Secretary of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Salifu Tamaah has bemoaned unfair treatment of Party Executives in the Wa Central Constituency.
Speaking to Tinaa Musah Adams of Radio Mak, he spoke extensively about party structures and lapses in them adding that there wasn’t even a clear outline of how some projects were distributed including school feeding projects to executives.
“A whole Secretary was given a school feeding project and I couldn’t even get a full school, I was given three classrooms at Fongo Primary School..” He lamented
He also Blamed his inability to become the Mayor of Wa on some Ethnic and tribal party cards played, adding that people suggested it wasn’t appropriate for Two people from Royal Households to serve as Member of Parliament and Mayor Concurrently.
“They said two people from the royal Setting cannot serve as MP and DCE at the same time..”
“So far I have been in Accra liasing with The top hierarchy to see how I can get somewhere, some people can get their opportunities in the morning, others in the afternoon or evening”. He said.
Mr Salifu Tamaah was elected as NDC Constituency Secretary for Wa Central in 2018 and has occupied the Position for two terms currently.
