BAHASS Foundation has taken its mental health awareness campaign to the principal streets of Wa in the Upper West Region as part of activities to mark World Mental Health Day.
The awareness walk seeks to educate the public on mental health issues, promote advocacy and help break the stigma associated with mental health challenges.
The initiative also aims to encourage open conversations about mental health and remind the public that mental well-being is an essential part of overall health.
BAHASS Foundation is using the occasion to call for greater public understanding, support and collective action to address mental health challenges.
The foundation maintains that mental health matters and that sustained public education is crucial to creating a society where people experiencing mental health difficulties can seek help without fear of discrimination.
