Police have arrested two Persons including incumbent Communication Officer of the NDC Party of Wa Central over purported breach of photography regulations at the Voting center of Wa Central Constituency.

The arrest was made around 12pm Today, 24th October 2026 at Wa Technical Institute in a Report by Home Radio.

There are developments indicating the incumbent Communication Officer has spoken against the candidature of His deputy, Mr Abubakari Bitis on several platforms including Sungviela FM whilst advocating for Umar Tibani to be elected. According to him, Mr. Bitis isn’t visible and spends most of his time outside the Constituency.

Mumuni Mohammed Tando the NDC Communications Officer for Wa Central have been reportedly been arrested by the Police at the Wa Central NDC Constituency Election Centre over alleged taking videos and pictures of their ballot.

The Upper West Regional Police Command arrest two delegates in the ongoing 2026 Constituency Elections of the Wa Central Constituency elections at the Wa Technical Institute.
The arrest follows the picture taking of the ballots cast.
