Sissala East MP Donated to Medical Practitioners

Two medical doctors who have been providing medical services to the Sissala East constituency have been given a laptop each donation by the Member of Parliament and the Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.

Presenting the donation on Saturday morning, October 16, 2021 at the Tumu hospital, Mr. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku said ” its a personal one, in fact this should have been on the quite but I had to do this for all in the constituency to appreciate hard work for their long service of commitment to service to our people despite the challenges of inadequate logistics, inadequate infrastructure yet you continue to provide quality services to the people despite the huge population “.

He added “don’t look at the value of what I am presenting to you Dr. Wood and Dr. Emmanuel, but want to demonstrate to you that your hard work is appreciated by all in the constituency” where he explained that “per your status, laptop it’s not anything to you but to show to you we are concerned about you”, the MP noted.

“Even though I am aware of the challenges of working under a very difficult condition, you still strive to give of your best efforts and this is commendable”

He appealed to the Health Directorate to draw a strategy on preventive health which can help reduce the health burden of the hospital as well as improve the quality of life of the constituents.
The Deputy Minister has also promised to work hard to improve the health needs of the Tumu Municipal Hospital.

Dr. Wood after receiving the laptop expressed that ” this MP has been donating things to the hospital and this time round, he has extended it to the doctors and I can only say thank you and wish you well to continue to do more”.

The Municipal Director of Health Services, Mr. Alex Bapula who was also given a laptop promised that the strategy would be available sooner than later and was thankful to the MP for recognizing the medical doctors for their efforts.

Dr. Charles Wood Agyakum has been in the Sissala East since 2015 providing healthcare to the over 50,000 inhabitants of Sissala East whilst Dr. Emmanuel Ogbamey has been serving the area since 2015 and he is currently incharge of the Welembelle Polyclinic.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Fuseini Yakubu was there to witness.
