A Retired Lecturer of Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University, formerly Wa Polytechnic has been killed by stray bullets on the Wa -Tanina highway today 17th March 2022.

The Development occured after he stood close to his car assessing it’s mechanical faults.This was as a result of a land Dispute between Alhaji Inusah Abdul Rahman and Some Youths of Kabanye.

Mr. Stephen L. Mane retired from Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University in 2019 per the University’s Records. He was With the Secretaryship and Management Department.

Background

Alhaji Inusah Abdul Rahman who is about 50years of age and a Business Man sent some laborers to work on his plots of land in Tanina, in the process, some young Men Numbering 5 Went to the site to stop the ongoing work on Alhaji Inusah’s Construction Site, this resulted in the Foreman contacting Alhaji Inusah to Report the Development, afterwards, Alhaji Inusah Stormed the Scene with a Pump Action Gun and allegedly shot at the visitors, this resulted in stray bullets penetrating through The Late Mr. Mane’s Chest and Killing him on the Spot.

Police Were Called to the Scene and arrested Mr. Inusah and Other Suspects. Meanwhile 2 of the Youths who stormed the scene were also affected by the Stray bullets and we’re taken to the Wa Municipal Hospital for Medical attention whilst the others went into hiding.

The Body of Late Mr. Mane has been deposited at the Wa Hospital Morgue waiting Autopsy.
