The Wa Metropolitan Assembly headed by Alhaji Nurah Danwana has relocated stranded Students of Demolished Tendamba Primary School Blocks in Sukpayiri to Dankpalihi street where two renovated School Structures were dedicated as new classrooms for the stranded Students.
The Mayor revealed that the New School shall be called Tendamba Model Primary School.

The 70-Year old school was demolished late Hours of 12th – June 2026 after a dispute was resolved over the ownership of Tendamba Primary School Land. The dispute was resolved by the Palace of Wa Naa after several court cases.
The Purpose of the Demolition is to pave way for the Constitution of a 24-Hour Economy Market as part of the President Mahama’s Campaign Promises ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
According to Tinaa Musah Adams, a Journalist with Radio Mak in Wa, it was uncovered that A New Building wasn’t constructed to relocate students of previously Demolished Tendamba Primary School, but rather two old buildings of Tendamba JHS and Nuriya basic school renovated.
TWO SEPARATE SCHOOLS BUILDING RENOVATED FOR VULNERABLE TENDAMBA PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN.
Tendamba Primary has not been relocated to a new school,it’s not true. Rather, it’s a renovated old two schools building belonging to Nuriya School and Tendamba Junior High School. The government has not built any new schools to accommodate the frustrated, vulnerable children who are displaced like refugees.
