A Key Road behind Limanyiri Model/Fallahia Cluster of Schools is an actively used road in Wa that has notably become a root for smuggling in the past few days.

It can be recalled that the Ghana Police Service impounded some ammunitions along the stretch and rejected a bribe of Ghc12,000.

The road links several key communities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District creating a way to evade several police barriers including the Kaleo Customs check point and Police post after Sagu Community in the Wa Municipality.

Vehicles from Nadowli Stretch can branch through Ombo stretch to Kaahaa and through to Kumbiehi to Wa without going through customs and Police check point.

Travelers from Tumu Area in the Sissala East Municipality, Funsi in Wa East District and Naro in the Nadowli-Kaleo District can branch through Jang to Tibani to Ombo through to Kaahaa to Kumbiehi and finally into Wa without checks at Guli and Kaleo.

The Ghana Police Service and Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority have been called upon to strengthen supervision and security checks in some of these areas to cover loopholes in the system.
