As part of activities marking the 2026 World Mental Health Day, the BAHASS Foundation has once again joined key stakeholders to commemorate the day at the BAHASS Mental Home in Wa, the Upper West Regional capital.
The event brought together traditional authorities, including chiefs and queenmothers, religious leaders, identifiable groups, and the Jawara Foundation, in a strong show of community support for mental health awareness and care.

Also in attendance were the Wa Municipal Mental Health Coordinator, Mr. Sylvester Basagnia, and the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nurah Issah Danwana.
This year’s global observance is themed “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” calling for greater inclusion of people with mental health conditions in decisions that affect their lives.
