Several businesses including pharmacies were set aback by Incessant Power Cuts in Some Parts of Wa in the Upper West Region as at 9:00pm Today, 12th October 2026.

Areas Affected include Wapaani, Duori, Regional Hospital Loho Stretch, Mangu Kabanye Areas.

The Power Cuts begun on the 10th of October When a high tension wire was displaced, fell in front of Falahia Cluster of Schools along the Wa – Dondoli Road and triggered fire outbreak, the fire was curtailed by Ghana National Fire Service at about 10pm on the 10th of October 2026 before power was restored.

Since the High tension wire generated a fault, there has been Incessant power outages.

However, Power was restored at 9:41pm Same Day by VRA/NEDCo but went off again at 4:47pm, 6 minutes apart.
