Teaching and writing could be more about passion but to these teachers outlined it’s more about profession and the need to leave a mark on their students through their research prowess.

It’s rare to see teachers in the region producing their own books with unique content, it’s mostly about bringing inn books from the southern belt, books like A1 Series, Nyansapo, Aki Ola etc have taken over the market for over a decade. These indigenes are changing the Narrative.

1. Dr. Damasus Tuurosung, The Chief Executive Officer of Tupaso Senior High School also a Graduate of University of Ghana has released a thought provoking English Book that has taken over the spheres of the Region, it has become a reference point for several English tutors and has bridged the gaps in English within the Upper West Region and the Country at Large. He is a Senior Lecturer at SDD-UBIDS.(First at the left).

2. Mumuni Sulemana: The Senior Staff of National Youth Authority who also lectured at the Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University released a book title ‘Golden Pot of Exam Secrets’  the book was released to assist students with methodologies in preparing towards examinations in school. His book was Launched at the Upper West Regional Library few years Back.(Third from Left).

3. Saeed A. Faruk: The current headmaster of Northern Star SHS in Wa released a book titled ‘Zanne fo Kɔkɔre’ few months, the book is Several topics in Ghanaian Language, Dagaare and it has solved several problems in Ghanaian Language Studies within the Region. Mr. Saeed Faruk is a Past Student of the University of Education, Winneba. Mr. Faruk is a member of CHASS.(first at the buttom)

4. Tuorimuo Elvis Philip: A staff of the Wa Municipal Education Directorate has released his first book in Computing, his book titled Tentacles Computing covers the current GES Computing Curriculum has become the favorite of several students within the Upper West Region, it covers all areas of the new curriculum with wide research in programing, monetization, robotics etc. The book was released in 2022 and endorsed by Several Educationists in the Region. He is a Past Student of University of Education, Winneba and Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University.(Second at the button)

5. James Dugra: A Senior Lecturer at Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University has Published his two books in Communication Skills, the books has gotten significant level of patronage at the Tertiary Level where he lectures. He pursued French at Universite de Bourgogne, Dijon, France.(Second at the top)

6. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, The Current Upper West Regional Minister who doubles as a teacher has Published a book about the Waala Chieftaincy Settings and other socio Cultural Issues of Wa. His book was published in 2018.
